The Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) has announced the exam schedule for the National Science Olympiad (NSO). Candidates can access the dates on the official website, sofworld.org. The exam is scheduled to take place on three different dates, namely, October 17, November 21, and December 5, 2023.

Candidates have the flexibility to choose any of the dates convenient for them to appear for the exam. However, the dates are subject to change depending on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the functioning of schools. The SOF NSO 2023 is open for candidates from classes 1 to 12, and each exam date has a distinct question paper.

About SOF NSO Exam 2023



The 2023 SOF NSO Exam is structured into two levels:



• For Level 1, students from class 1 to class 4 will have to answer 35 objective-type (Multiple Choice) questions within 60 minutes. For students from class 5 to class 12, there will be 50 objective-type (Multiple Choice) questions.

• Level 2 is exclusively for students in class 3 to class 12.

SOF NSO Exam 2023 Instructions



Prior to taking the exam, candidates should take note of the following important points:



• A separate question paper is provided for each exam date.

• The test is administered in English.

• The test papers are designed based on the syllabi of CBSE, ICSE/ISC, and State Boards.

• The exam takes place during school hours.
