The year 2025 saw some very big changes in the NCERT syllabus. The goal is to prepare students for modern jobs and national pride. NCERT added new topics and modules across different classes. This is a major shift toward self-reliance and technology.

New Focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI)

NCERT introduced specific content on Artificial Intelligence (AI). This is a key change for older students.

Classes 11 and 12 will get new textbooks on AI.

The focus is on the basic concepts of AI and how it works.

Students will learn about AI's practical uses in daily life.

The curriculum also covers the proper use and limitations of AI.

This ensures students understand this major technology early. They get ready for future AI-driven careers.

Introducing Swadeshi and Self-Reliance

NCERT launched two special modules on Swadeshi. This topic links historical ideas to modern India.

'Swadeshi: Vocal for Local' is for middle-stage students.

'Swadeshi for a Self-Reliant India' is for secondary-stage students.

These modules connect the 1905 Swadeshi Movement to current programs. They discuss initiatives like 'Make in India' and 'Atmanirbhar Bharat'. The goal is to promote local entrepreneurship and innovation among students.

Learning About Operation Sindoor

The curriculum now includes special modules on Operation Sindoor. This is a major addition to teach students about national security.

The module covers India's military and diplomatic response to the Pahalgam terror attack.

It highlights how different ministries coordinate for national security.

The content is divided into two parts for Classes 3-8 and Classes 9-12.

This material helps students understand India's defence strategy. It teaches about the bravery and sacrifices involved in such operations.

Competency-Based Textbooks

NCERT also updated textbooks for many grades. The books for Classes 4, 5, 7, and 8 are now fully redesigned. They use a competency-based model.

This means:

The books focus on skills development and real-world application.

They move away from rote memorization.

The content promotes a strong grasp of core concepts.

These updates aim to make education more practical. They align learning with the holistic goals of the NEP 2020.
