West Bengal Schools And Colleges Are Reopening Soon
The Government of West Bengal has announced that the schools and colleges in West Bengal are reopening soon. According to details, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjeeh has said that the schools and colleges have been closed since 2020 over covid-19 pandemic, may be reopened soon. The Minister further said that the educational institutions in the state might be reopened after Durga Puja holidays.
On the other side, a senior official of the education department issued a statement saying that government is not yet reopening the schools due to rising covid-19 cases. The Education Department official was responding to queries on ICMR Director General Balram Bhargava’s statement that schools should be reopened with the primary section as children can handle viral infection better than adults. Department officials have further added that whenever school campuses reopen, the students from higher classes will be the first to start the offline classes.
