BSEB Free JEE NEET Coaching & App Launch

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) launched a major educational initiative on August 18, 2026. Following instructions from Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary, the board started a free Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) coaching program for Class 11 and Class 12 students.

The initiative spans 155 selected model schools across the state. Alongside the physical coaching classes, BSEB launched the 'Vidya Saathi' mobile application to provide 24/7 academic support for students in Classes 9 through 12 across 700 model schools.

Expansion of Free Coaching Infrastructure

BSEB initially launched the residential JEE and NEET coaching program on a pilot basis in two Patna institutions:

Patna Collegiate School (Dariyapur)

Bankipore Girls Higher Secondary School (Golghar)

Following the success of these residential modules, the board introduced evening coaching across 10 schools in Patna on July 16, 2026. The board has now expanded the program to include 145 additional schools, bringing the total number of participating model schools to 155.

Additionally, free non-residential coaching programs operate across nine divisional headquarters:

Patna

Gaya

Muzaffarpur

Darbhanga

Chhapra

Purnea

Saharsa

Munger

Bhagalpur

Specialized Curriculum Delivery

Students enrolled in these schools access subject-wise video lectures designed by subject experts according to the official JEE and NEET syllabi. To upgrade instruction standard, BSEB plans to set up a dedicated studio at its headquarters to broadcast live interactive classes across all 145 expanded schools.

24/7 Academic Assistance via 'Vidya Saathi' App

To support self-study and real-time query resolution, BSEB introduced the 'Vidya Saathi' mobile app. The application serves students from Classes 9 to 12 across 700 model schools free of charge.

District Education Officers (DEOs) received directives to conduct operational meetings with school principals to ensure full student enrollment and account setup on the portal.

Impact on Competitive Exam Readiness

BSEB Chairman expressed strong confidence that combining structured classroom instruction across 155 model schools with continuous digital assistance via the 'Vidya Saathi' app will significantly boost pass rates for Bihar Board students appearing in national competitive exams like JEE and NEET.
