TN 10th, 12th Supplementary Result 2026 Soon

The Directorate of Government Examinations (DGE), Tamil Nadu, is scheduled to declare the TN Supplementary Result 2026 for regular candidates shortly. According to official updates, board officials expect to publish the scorecards on official portals between July 28 and July 31, 2026. Students who appeared for the compartment examinations can access their scores directly on dge.tn.gov.in and tnresults.nic.in.

 

The state education board conducted the TN Class 10 and 12 supplementary exams during June and July 2026 to offer students an opportunity to improve their scores or clear pending subjects. Specifically, Higher Secondary (+2) supplementary evaluations took place from June 29 to July 7, while Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examinations ran from July 8 to July 15. The board had previously declared the arrear exam scores for private candidates on July 22, 2026.

 

Accessing Scores and Portal Authentication

To check the SSLC and HSE +2 supplementary results, candidates must authenticate their credentials on the official portal using their 11-digit examination registration number and date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format. In addition to official web portals, the board is synchronizing student scorecards with the National Digital Locker system. Candidates can retrieve legally valid digital marksheets through DigiLocker using their Aadhaar-linked mobile numbers.

Qualification Thresholds and Performance Benchmarks

Official guidelines state that candidates must secure a minimum of 35 marks out of 100 in non-practical subjects to satisfy the passing criteria. For subjects with practical assessments, students must obtain at least 15 marks out of 70 in the theory portion and achieve an aggregate threshold of 35 marks overall. Over 37,000 candidates registered for the Class 12 supplementary series across science, commerce, and arts streams.

 

Earlier this year, the board released main examination results in May, where Class 10 registered a 94.31% pass rate out of 8,70,643 candidates, and Class 12 recorded a 95.20% pass percentage among 7,91,654 test-takers. Female students outperformed male students in both categories, scoring 96.47% in SSLC and 97.00% in HSE +2.

 

Next Steps and Revaluation Protocol

Following the score publication, students can download provisional marksheets for immediate academic use before collecting physical certificates from their respective schools. Successful Class 10 students become eligible for Class 11 admission, polytechnic diplomas, or ITI courses. Meanwhile, qualifying Class 12 candidates can participate in TNEA counseling for engineering admission and other degree courses.

 

For students unsatisfied with their awarded marks, the board will initiate an online revaluation process and re-totalling application window on its website within two days of the declaration. Applicants must submit a prescribed fee per subject, after which expert panels will review scanned answer scripts or recalculate score totals.
