Schools In Maharashtra Are Not Opening On 17th August
The Maharashtra State Government earlier announced to reopen the schools in Maharashtra from 17th August 2021. The government allowed online classes from 7th to 12 online in the rural areas in Maharashtra while physical classes from 8th to 12 in urban areas. Now, the state government is reportedly not opening the schools in Maharashtra on 17th August 2021 due to government differences. Furthermore, the government will observe and discuss the COVID-19 situation in the state with concerned stake holders and COVID-19 Task Force and will announce the reopening of the schools later. Earlier, government issued the preventive measure for students including wearing masks, reducing teaching hours, discontinuing sports activities and tiger activities. It was also stated that there should be no more than 20 students in a single classroom.
