Schools Are Reopening In Karnataka Soon
The Karnataka State has announced to reopen the schools. According to latest updates, the state government has announced to reopen the Karnataka Schools from 6th September 2021. According to media reports, Karnataka Education Minister BC Nagesh said that the state will reopen schools for classes 6 to 8. The schools will be reopened in the areas where CIOVID-19 positivity rate is less than 2% and classes will be allowed with 50% attendance. However, the government is yet to issue SOPs for the reopening. But till then students are supposed to attend classes in two batches on alternative days and all schools will be required to sanitize the premises on Saturdays and Sundays. As per media reports, the technical advisory committee has suggested conducting RT-PCR tests in schools on 10% of the students weekly, also the only districts with the COVID-19 positivity rate of less than 2% will be allowed to conduct offline classes.
