LUDHIANA, PUNJAB — Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann expanded the state’s public education model on Sunday by dedicating two new Schools of Eminence (SoE) to the residents of Ludhiana. The new campuses, situated at Kidwai Nagar and Miller Ganj, bring the total number of operational SoE campuses in Ludhiana district to 16. Through these launches, the state government reinforces its commitment to high-quality public education, equipping government schools with infrastructure that rivals top private institutions.

14.10 Crore Dedicated to Kidwai Nagar and Miller Ganj SoE Campuses

The government invested substantial capital to ensure state-of-the-art learning environments at both locations:

Kidwai Nagar SoE Campus: Built at a cost of ₹10.62 crore, featuring modern classrooms, high-tech science labs, and a spacious auditorium.

Miller Ganj SoE Campus: Completed with an outlay of ₹3.48 crore, delivering upgraded academic wings and practical learning spaces.

During his site inspection, CM Mann toured the classrooms and science laboratories to witness the facilities firsthand. He interacted directly with students, discussing their academic progress, scientific experiments, and overall educational experience.

Driving the Punjab Education Revolution Beyond Industrial Growth

Speaking at the inaugural event, the Chief Minister highlighted Ludhiana's evolution. While the district previously drove Punjab’s industrial growth, it now stands at the forefront of the Punjab education revolution.

Mann emphasized that targeted education infrastructure investment, rigorous international teacher training abroad, and modern pedagogical techniques have driven this transformation. Because of these upgrades, families across the state are increasingly shifting their children from private institutions to quality government schools in Punjab.

Bridging the Socio-Economic Divide

According to the Chief Minister, the School of Eminence model directly addresses social inequality:

Equal Access: Children from ordinary families gain access to elite learning resources previously reserved for private school students.

Leveling the Field: State-backed facilities narrow the achievement gap between privileged and underprivileged demographics.

Education Over Freebies: Bhagwant Mann's Core Reform Vision

Unveiling his broader vision for governance, CM Bhagwant Mann stated that social hardship and poverty require structural solutions rather than temporary relief.

'Poverty and social problems cannot be eliminated through freebies or concession cards alone. Education is the real key to helping people improve their lives and overcome hardship,' Mann asserted.

By focusing on long-term human capital, the administration aims to make Bhagwant Mann education reform in Punjab government schools the foundation for lasting economic empowerment. The launch of the Kidwai Nagar and Miller Ganj School of Eminence campuses marks another step toward establishing public schools as centers of academic excellence across Punjab.
