NIOS Revised Timetable for Bihar & Odisha Exams 2025
The National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) has released an updated date sheet for its Secondary (Class 10) and Senior Secondary (Class 12) theory examinations, specifically for students in Bihar and the Nuapada Assembly constituency in Odisha. The revision comes following the postponement of papers originally scheduled for November due to the Bihar Assembly Elections and related administrative factors.
New Exam Dates at a Glance
Students in the affected regions must take note of the new examination dates for their postponed subjects.
- November 29, 2025 (Bihar Only):
- Senior Secondary (12th): Biology, Accountancy, Introduction to Law, Military History (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm).
- Secondary (10th): Urdu, Sanskrit, Bodh Darshan, Indian Sign Language (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm/4:30 pm).
- December 1, 2025 (Bihar & Nuapada, Odisha):
- Senior Secondary (12th): Mathematics, Veda Adhyayan (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm).
- Secondary (10th): English (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm).
- December 2, 2025 (All India):
- Senior Secondary (12th): Physics, History, Environmental Science, Library and Information Science (2:30 pm to 5:30 pm).
- Secondary (10th): Painting (2:30 pm to 4:30 pm).
Why the Rescheduling?
The original exams for subjects like Physics, History, and English were among those postponed. The board clarified that the rescheduling is essential to ensure the smooth and fair conduct of exams following the logistical constraints posed by the elections.
Candidates are strongly advised to download the official revised date sheet from the NIOS website to confirm their subject-specific dates and timings, as these revised dates are mandatory for the affected students.
