2025-11/9558_1_46398.png

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the revised, final schedule for the NEET PG Counselling 2025 Round 2. This is a crucial announcement for all medical graduates seeking admission to MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses under the 50% All India Quota (AIQ), Central Universities, and Deemed Universities.

The revised timeline is necessary following recent changes in the national seat matrix, including the addition of 239 PG seats in Deemed Universities and the withdrawal of 235 DNB seats. All eligible candidates must adhere strictly to the new dates, as the Round 2 registration starts on December 5, 2025.

Step-by-Step Guide for Round 2 Registration & Choice Filling

The Round 2 process is critical as it is the last chance for candidates to participate in the AIQ before the Mop-Up Round. Follow these steps on the official portal, mcc.nic.in:

1. Fresh Registration (For New Candidates Only)

If you did not register in Round 1, complete the one-time registration and payment of the non-refundable registration fee and security deposit between December 5 and December 9.

2. Review the Updated Seat Matrix

Before filling choices, carefully study the Revised Seat Matrix available on the MCC website. The addition and withdrawal of seats will significantly affect competition and availability.

3. Choice Filling and Locking (All Participants)

Log in to the MCC portal using your credentials.

Fill in New Choices: Candidates can choose from the newly added seats, vacant seats from Round 1, and the surrendered seats.

Prioritize Wisely: Arrange your choices in a strict order of preference. Your top choice should be your most desired college/course.

Lock Choices: Mandatory step—lock your preferences before the deadline on December 9. Unlocked choices are not considered for allotment.

Who is Eligible for NEET PG Round 2 Counselling?

Candidates who registered for Round 1 but were not allotted any seat.

Candidates who secured a seat in Round 1 but opted for an upgrade during the reporting process.

Candidates who took a Free Exit from Round 1 (i.e., did not report to the allotted college). They must register again.

Candidates who are newly eligible (e.g., those who recently completed the compulsory internship).
