The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced a final revised schedule for the NEET PG Counselling 2025 Round 2. This is a critical update for all candidates aiming for admission to MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses under the 50% All India Quota (AIQ).

The schedule revision was essential to incorporate the updated seat matrix, which includes the addition of new seats and the withdrawal of some DNB seats. All candidates must strictly follow these new dates to avoid missing out on their postgraduate seats.

NEET PG Round 2 Final Revised Schedule

Registration, choice filling, and reporting for the NEET PG 2025 Round 2 will now take place in December 2025. This timetable is mandatory for all participants.

EventNew Final Dates
Verification of Tentative Seat MatrixDecember 5, 2025
Fresh Registration & PaymentDecember 5 – 9, 2025
Choice Filling & LockingDecember 6 – 9, 2025 (Locking till 11:55 PM)
Seat Allotment Result DeclarationDecember 12, 2025
Reporting/Joining at Allotted InstitutesDecember 13 – 21, 2025
Crucial Action: The NEET PG Round 2 Registration window is short. New candidates must complete their registration and payment between December 5 and 9. All participants must fill and lock their choices.

Why the MCC Revised the Schedule

The primary reason for the schedule revision is the continuous flux in the NEET PG Seat Matrix.

Seat Changes: There was an addition of 239 PG seats in Deemed Universities and the withdrawal/re-allocation of around 235 DNB seats.

Compliance: The MCC must ensure that all seat changes are reflected accurately before conducting the final allotment process, upholding fairness.

Candidates should check the official MCC website, mcc.nic.in, for the most updated seat matrix before starting their choice filling.

Who Should Participate in Round 2?

Candidates who were not allotted a seat in Round 1.

Candidates who were allotted a seat in Round 1 but opted for an upgrade during physical reporting.

Candidates who took a 'Free Exit' in Round 1 (did not report to the allotted college). They must register again.

Candidates who are newly eligible after the Round 1 process.

The Round 2 allotment result will be published on December 12, 2025. Successful candidates must report to their assigned college between December 13 and 21, 2025.
