Kerala SSLC 2026 Exams Start March 5 Over 4 Lakh Students

The state of Kerala is gearing up for one of its most significant academic events as the SSLC (Class 10) Board Examinations 2026 are scheduled to commence on March 5, 2026. General Education Minister V. Sivankutty announced that over 4.17 lakh students have registered to appear for the exams this year. The examinations will be conducted across 3,031 centers, including special centers in Lakshadweep and the Gulf region, marking a massive logistical effort by the Kerala Pareeksha Bhavan.

A critical update has been issued regarding the Gulf centers in the Middle East. Due to regional security concerns, exams originally scheduled for March 5, 6, and 7 in these international locations have been postponed. However, for students appearing within Kerala and Lakshadweep, the schedule remains unchanged. To ensure the integrity of the process, the state has deployed approximately 26,000 teachers for invigilation duties, and question papers have been securely stored in district treasuries and bank lockers.

The theory examinations are expected to wrap up by March 30, 2026. Following this, the evaluation of answer scripts is slated to begin on April 7 and conclude by April 28. According to the tentative schedule provided by the education department, the Kerala SSLC 2026 results are expected to be announced on May 8, 2026. This timeline is designed to ensure that the admission process for Plus One (Class 11) can begin as early as May 9. Students are advised to reach their centers at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam and strictly adhere to the guidelines printed on their hall tickets to ensure a stress-free examination experience.
