JEE MAIN 2023 Application Correction Window Reopened

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has re-opened the correction window for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2023 application for session 1. Candidates now have the chance to edit the state code of eligibility and category in their JEE Main 2023 form at the official website of JEE MAIN 2023. The deadline for these corrections is February 5th, 5 pm.

This move by the NTA was in response to numerous requests from candidates. NTA warns candidates to be cautious when making the changes, as this is the final chance before the release of JEE Main session 1 results, and no further opportunities will be given

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced that it has received a number of requests from candidates to allow them to edit/modify their state code of eligibility and category in the JEE Main 2023 application form for session 1. In light of these requests and for the benefit of the students, the NTA has decided to provide an opportunity for candidates to make these modifications in the online application form before the final release of the JEE Main 2023 session 1 results
JEE Main 2023 State Code of Eligibility
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has clarified that the state code of eligibility refers to the code of the state where the candidate appeared for or passed their Class 12 (or equivalent) exams, which determines their eligibility to take the JEE Main 2023 exam and seek admission to National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs).
According to the NTA, if a candidate's state code of eligibility is incorrect on their JEE Main Admit Card, they may change it through the online application form. It should be noted that the state code of eligibility is not based on the candidate's place of birth, permanent residence, or current residence.
