JEE Main 2023 State Code of Eligibility

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has clarified that the state code of eligibility refers to the code of the state where the candidate appeared for or passed their Class 12 (or equivalent) exams, which determines their eligibility to take the JEE Main 2023 exam and seek admission to National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs).

According to the NTA, if a candidate's state code of eligibility is incorrect on their JEE Main Admit Card, they may change it through the online application form. It should be noted that the state code of eligibility is not based on the candidate's place of birth, permanent residence, or current residence.
