CLAT 2023 NLSIU Bengaluru Seats Increased for BA LLB,LLM

The National Law School of India University NLSIU, Bengaluru has increased the seat intake for 5-year BA LLB and 1-year LLM programmes. Previously BA LLB Seats were 180 but Now NLSIU has increased the seats 240. As for the LLM programmes, seats have been increased to 100 previously seats were 75.

NLSIU Bengaluru also increased the number of seats last year from 120 to 180 for BA LLB and as for the LLM, it was increased to 75 from 50. Admission into these programmes is conducted through the Common Law Admission Test CLAT. Candidates who meet the requirements after the CLAT are eligible for the Undergraduate and as Well as Postgraduate Law programmes.

December 18, 2022.

Candidates must note that CLAT 2023 will be taken in offline mode. So Candidates who have been preparing for the test can go tomorrow to the exam centre and give the test.



CLAT 2023 Seats Intake in Karnataka



Seats were increased for the candidates who are Karnataka Domicile Holders. NLSIU Bengaluru reserves 25% of the total seats for candidates who are domiciled in Karnataka. Check the below table.

NLSIU Inclusion and Expansion Plan for Admission to Law Programmes



The National Law School of India University NLSIU provided the inclusion and Expansion Plan back in 2021. Their aim was to reach a projected size of over 2200 Students in the university's on-campus programmes by the academic year 2028-29. This increase in seats for BA LLB and LLM programmes in 2023 for Karnataka Domicile Holders is a part of the Expansion and Inclusion Plan.

Through this Plan, a 3-year LLB programme has been introduced. Candidates have to take National Law School Admission Test NLSLAT for both BA LLB and LLM courses.

Annual Fee for these Programmes

• 3.27 Lac for General Category

• 3.23 Lakh for SC and St Students
