Calling all medical aspirants in Assam! The Directorate of Medical Education (DME) has officially started the Round 2 of Assam NEET Counselling 2025. This is a golden opportunity to secure your seat in one of the state's top medical colleges. Pay close attention to the dates and procedures to ensure you don't miss out!

 

Key Dates for Your Calendar 

Here is the complete schedule for the Assam NEET Round 2 Counselling. Be sure to follow it meticulously!

  • Online Registration: September 8 to 9, 2025 (until 11:55 PM)

  • Online Choice Filling: September 10 to 11, 2025 (until 10:00 PM)

  • Online Choice Locking: September 11, 2025 (5:00 PM to 11:59 PM)

  • Result Declaration: September 19, 2025

  • Reporting to Allotted College: September 24 to 25, 2025

 

What's New This Year? A Huge Boost for Aspirants! 

The National Medical Commission (NMC) has approved a significant increase in MBBS seats across Assam, making this year's counselling even more exciting!

  • A brand-new college, Pragjyotishpur Medical College, has been approved with 50 MBBS seats.

  • Existing medical colleges have also seen a boost:

    • GMC, Guwahati: 250 new seats

    • AMC, Dibrugarh: 250 new seats

    • SMC, Silchar: 150 new seats

    • This adds up to a total of 700 new seats in the state!

 

Important Notes for Candidates 

Already Registered? No Need to Register Again! If you registered for Round 1, you can directly proceed with choice filling for Round 2.

Choice Locking is Crucial: Make sure you lock your choices before the deadline on September 11. Failure to do so could mean your choices are not considered.

Merit-Based Allotment: Seat allotment will be based on your merit rank and the colleges you have listed as your preferences.

The DME Assam has provided this updated schedule for the second round of counselling for MBBS and BDS admissions in government medical and dental colleges for the 2025 session.
