The online application process for the Assam Combined Entrance Examination (CEE) 2026 is strictly scheduled to end on March 31, 2026. ASTU, the conducting body, has clarified that no further extensions will be granted, and the portal will cease accepting new registrations and fee payments after the deadline. This exam is the mandatory gateway for students seeking admission into four-year Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) programs in both government and private engineering colleges across Assam for the 2026–27 session.

Eligibility Criteria and Application Fee

To apply, candidates must meet specific residency and academic requirements:

Domicile: Must be an Indian citizen and a Permanent Resident of Assam (PRC required).

Age Limit: Minimum 17 years as of December 31, 2026. The upper age limit is generally 21 years, with a 3-year relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

Academic Qualification: Must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English in a single sitting, securing at least 45% aggregate (40% for reserved categories).

Application Fee: This year, the fee is ₹1,500, which must be paid exclusively via online modes (Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking).

 

How to Apply via the ASTU Portal
