The General Science exam will now take place on March 30, 2023, and the English exam on March 28, 2023. The minister made the announcement via Twitter, stating that the cancelled General Science exam originally scheduled for March 13, 2023, will now take place on March 30, 2023, while the cancelled English exam at JR Higher Secondary School in Ganigram will now take place on March 28, 2023.

The Assam Board had planned to conduct the HSLC General Science Exams on March 13, 2023. However, following reports of an exam paper leak, SEBA and the Assam Government jointly decided to cancel the exams and reschedule them for a later date.

According to recent updates, SEBA has not acknowledged any paper leak but issued a notification referring to a news telecast alleging that some students possess a handwritten model paper of General Science (C3), which is circulating on social media. The notification clarifies that the cancellation of the General Science (C3) exam scheduled for March 13, 2023, was done to prevent confusion among the candidates. Meanwhile, the Assam Police has initiated an investigation into the alleged question paper leak, as stated in a tweet by DPS GP Singh from Assam. With the revised dates being announced, students can now focus on preparing for the upcoming exams.
